700r4 question

well i toasted the turbo350 in my 84 blazer, so i went to the junk yard and got a 700r4. If i am not mistakin it the 700 came out of a 84, now my question.

there is a wiring harnes on the side of the tranny, it has like two or three connections in it.. what am going to do with this and what does it do?? my old tranny doesnt have one on it and i dont see the corresponding connection hangin out under my truck.

Its for the lockup . The year it came out of has a vacuum switch on the firewall , and a connection to the brake wire .

You can buy a 4th gear lock up kit anywhere , for retro fit purposes . I found one one from someone with six years and 99.8 percent positive feedback on Ebay clicky
