Question - I have the 700R4 with 4.56 gears and wondering if there is anyway to get the the tranny to shift a little later under light and moderate throttle. I have a 5200-5500 governor in it now which is fine for WOT shifts. But daily driving it shifts into 2nd at about 5mph. I’m running 33 inch tires and know I could go bigger but really don’t want to. Thanks

If i remember correctly you have to mess with the springs/weights on the governor, but I'm far from an automatic person so hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in shortly.

If you have an adjustable TV cable, you could try adjusting it a little tighter. You can't do a lot of tuning with it, but I usually need to move mine a click or 2 to really get it dialed in where I like it.

You can put a small spring in between the plastic teardrop of the tv cable and the cable stop, then readjust your cable so it is pulled as tight as can be at wide open throttle. The spring will fool the trans into thinking you have more tv pressure at light throttle and still allow normal function once the spring is compressed at larger throttle openings.
