im putting a 700r4 in my 84 k5 6.2ltr. but first plan to rebuild it.
does anyone have any suggested rebuild kits and performance mods that I should consider? I do plan on doing some towing/plowing with it so relliability is a must.I truely rely on all of the members vast knowledge base.

A good trany parts place will have what you will need or you can go to e-bay. E-bay should be cheaper. I think a 9 clutch for the 3-4. At least a corvette servo. 13 vane pump, boost valve .500 size.

billet oversized servos (some people call corvette servos), beast sun shell, 5 pinion planetary, shift improver kit, 13 vane pump(4l60e), Huge cooler with hard lines, tranny guage, improved band and clutches, Lots of torque? id get a cryo/hardened input shaft and drum assembly (tci).

Look over at Bowtie Overdrives web site. Lots of info on the 700r4 and upgrades. Not a bad place to buy things either;)
