700r4 shaft

i want to swap a 700r4 into my truck and i was wondering how much the short shaft is and also how hard is it to install? would i be able to use my 205 that is currently mated to a 465 without any modifications?

You run into front driveline issue when running a 205 behind a 700R4 with the short shaft. No, your existing 205 will not work as it is either the 10 spline version or the 32 spline version and a 700R4 is a 27 spline.

what kind of drive shaft issues?

what you will run into is that depending on what yoke you use on the 205 it might hit the trans pan.
