What would cause a slight slip bet 2nd and 3rd gears above 2000 rpm? I noticed it after I put in my new block about 9 months ago when it slips the rpm goes up then it shifts to 3rd . All help much appreciated.. Thx

Sounds like you need to tighten up the tv cable, it should be as tight as it can possibly be at wide open throttle. Is the carb or throttle body the stock type?

Stock Tbi. 87 K5, 5.7 L
Cool, just have someone hold the throttle wide open and make sure the cable is as tight as can be.
