hey guys...i have a real quick question about swapping the 700r4/205 from a 1991 blazer into my 1986 pickup that had a th400/208. i know im goin to have to do somthing w/ my driveshaft lengths, that is no problem...my question was is there any computer or electronic wiring stuff that im goin to have to mess with becuase the blazer is a 1991? any help would be appreciated. thanks alot guys. -mikkie

ummm blazers had a 205 behind a 700 r4 in 91?

should be 241.

but at anyrate, you will have to hook up the throttle valve cable from the 700 to the carby, and buy a converter lockup switch from a tranny company (pretty sure b&m, tci, transgo make a kit).

what is a converter lock up swithch? also, the guy im getting this from swapped the 205 in, he may have swapped the 700r4 in also, im not sure....thanks for your help

normally the torque converter lock up is computer controlled.

with no puter to control it, you need to install a switch to control lockup.
