Ready to get rid of my crappy 700r4. I have a th350 that I got a while ago I figured since it was laying around I would use that instead of rebuilding my 700r4. I have a np208 transfer case.

Questions:
Will the th350 mate to the np208 (the th350 has a 27 spline output shaft)?

Are the bolts the same that bolt the transmision to the transfer case the same?

everything else should fit the same as the 700r4 like the cooler lines. tranmission mount.

Will there be any length issues between the 2 transmissions. I'm running a stock setup right now, no lift yet.

Thanks in advance,
Don

there is a length difference, the th350 is 1.75" shorter than the 700r4. there is a kit just for this swap that comes with a longer outputshaft, spacer and hardware. you need to tear the tranny apart to replace the output shaft though.

OR

if you have a 2wd th350 with a 6" tailshaft, you can cut 1.75" off the output shaft and use the 1.75" spacer.

the use of the spacer is so you don't have to change driveline lengths

There REALLY isn't anything that is wrong with a 700R4 that can't be fixed with a good rebuild.... The 700R4 is hands down better than a TH350. Lower first gear Ratio, way deeper overdrive than most overdrive transmissions.. I'm tellin ya man, changing to a 350 is a step DOWN.......   :surepal: :screwy: :shame:
