Ok so thought I would build my 700r4 to withstand the 37s but seems like to do it right I will need several hundred dollars just in parts. So... came across a 465 4 speed and 208 case. I am keeping my 241 because it us a better case and I have already done the SYE on it. I think I need to swap the input to 32 spline and should be good. My question is I have seen multiple posts on different trans humps some unbolt and can swap but mine doesnt. (1989 k5) Will the 465 fit if I cut out the indent in the floor? Or do I need a different trans cover? I also have the W shaped crossmember and clutch cylinders and linkage, just need to get the pedal assembly out of the donor yet.

I am looking at the same swap. Where are you sourcing your 32 spline input shaft?

I bought one from a trans supply online. Keep on mind you need a pocket bearing with a plugged end. Found out which one on cobra transmission website. The factory 27 spline has the same thing. Then install your new pocket bearing in the new gear and reassmble.
