I have read about swapping the TH 350 with a 700R4 and using an adapter to bolt to the NP205. Where do I get this adapter?? The parts from Advance Adapters to do this seem a bit more pricey compared to what Ive read. I have a rebuilt 700R4 in a 86 Blazer I would like to use in my 73 K20 and would like as much info as I can get. The info I got about this was from old postings here on colorado K5 from a couple years ago. Thanks guys!!! :cool1:

get the 2" spacer kit for a 700 to 350 swap. this will get the 205 back away from the tranny pan. and then get the correct shaft for the tranny. you might need to cut off some of a shaft that is close. the reason for this is the cv frt shaft is close to the tranny pan on a 700. do a search and all will be covered. it has been talked about lots.

any major tranny shop or online like ebay might sell the kit. but all you need is just the spacer. you dont need the whole kit. what you want is a spacer like the one in this pic. but this is for a diffrent setup not for you. but yours will go in ust like this one is. this one was custom made for me to fit a 205 to a 4l80-e tranny with out changing the tail shaft out and helps clear the drive shaft.
