700r4 tranny will it fit and work

Ok ive got this 3/4 ton chevy that a lady is basically giving away for $700 and it has a 4 bolt main engine that was just rebuilt 2500 miles ago. its a 2 wheel drive and its got a 14 bolt ff rear axel i think. what do you think will all of this work with my 79 chevy 4x4 what Will i need to do? Thanks

For one it's not gonna have a 700r4 in it and have the 14ff, semi it could have. Seen one. Not saying that it's absolutley not what you have, but not factory. What year is the 3/4 ton?? If it's pre-87, then most of it will bolt in. For the OD to work in your 79, might as well find a 4wd 700, swap guts, get a small spacer to work with your trans. I never messed with them, so dont' know the details.
