700R4 Transmission Will Not Shift Out Of 1st Gear Unless Going Down A Bridge And No Reverse

Just got another 700r4 that has been built from the transmission shop with 6 month warrenty. Its been built heavy duty for corvettes and hotrod and has a "wideband" dont kniw what that means though

If you havent got the other trans yet, might want to Adams automotive in new orleans He's been doing alot of transmission rebuilding for the drag racers in the area.

I wonder what is "Super Wide Band"?

It is an aftermarket band that covers a greater portion of the drum surface. The drum MUST be machined to use these bands so that it makes complete contact. The band ends are not as strong as the Borg Warner band and failure is not uncommon with high performance servo pistons and increased line pressure

unless you have 4.11 id go with TH400 (if possible.) 2500 stall converter. high gear clutch pack went out on your 700r4 which is common. Try that govner fix. I have a friend with 750 HP and a TH400...
