700r4 what broke??

I have a 1991 700r4 out of a vette. well today I broke it I just need to know what is wrong. If i put the shift lever in overdrive truck doesn't move but if I put it in drive every thing works just fine then when up to speed I can shift it into overdrive and it works but as soon as I slow down I have to put it back into drive for it to work again.Please help! Thanks

yeah you need to see if rev. works. cause if that doesn't then it could be the high rev. i think

you mean low rev. the over run clutches maybe going out also

yup rev works everything works like normal except when in overdrive
