700R4 wires pass side??

i have never seen any wires on the pass side of a 700r4. there are wires on the pass side of a 4l60e. those are to control everything.

the easiest way to tell if it is a 700r4 or a 4l60e is the 700r4 has a governer on the driver side and the 4l60e has none. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yes, it can be TC lockup. I have it on mine.

86 would not be 4L60E or have VSS, so the wires would be the lockup converter ones yep, square plastic plug and two wires, i always forget which side of tranny the lockup wires are on, all 700r4 had lockup converter btw, some of them were white plug and others were blue
VSS started same year as when 4L60E replaced 700r4, this happened for 1992 model year for most but not all vehicle models
