Okay I just picked up a 700r4 for $40 to replace my th350 thats on it's last legs. What can I do before I install it to freshen it up or make it better and also what the hell do all the wires hook up to?

the wires are for lock up you can configure it so all you have to do is run 12v to the plug i will post the article later when i find it. Is the 700 a 88 and up or a 88 and down. If it is a 88 and down you might want to try and find a newer one becasue they had a lot of factory upgrades that would cost a lot to do to a older case.

it's was still attached to the 208 that I don't need so I'll be picking it up tommorow night when I get the number I'll post it

Large half circle cast into the case that passes through where the oil cooling line fittings are.

the number that i would need should also have some letters in it. the place to look is on the pad near the shifter you might need to clean it though first

okay heres all the numbers it has a K on both sides meaning 4x4 I assume a small circle with 8, 1, and 88 Date? a sticker with 9TLM Toledo 619tlmy2104430 and another casting mark of a 16 with a line under it.
