I'm wonder who can tell me what the four prong electrical plug's purpose is in the transmission.... I know it will turn on the reverse light, but what else does it do? comments please....

Lock-up convertor/computer controll---.I'm pretty sure the reverse light is controlled by the neutral safety switch mounted on the bottom of the steering column.I could be wrong but all the trucks I worked on were like this.Maybe someone else can verify.

Yeah, I wasn't sure where the actual switch was for the reverse, lol, but I thought the plug had something to do with the lock up but wasn't too sure. Thanks for the input, much appreciatted!

reverse light switch is on the column closer to the firewall

the only time the reverse light switch is found on a tranny is in the case of manual trannies

good luck
