question, has anyone tryed this out??

"B&M 70239 - B&M Shift Improver Kit"

im having trouble with highway driving. i pretty much dont have any balls on the highway, going up a grade i have to floor it. on a flat surface, once i hit about 50 to 55 thats as fast as it wants to go for cruising and it starts kinda shaking but i can floor it and the kick down kicks in and i can get up to 85 no prob. any ideas? :dunno:

the truck is a 87 with tbi. it does great on city streets. it just doesnt like high speeds

Sounds to me almost like your TCC isn't unlocking properly. Have you tested it?

Cruising on flat ground at freeway speeds, keep throttle constant and barely apply the brake. Engine RPM should go up a few hundred RPM, might even feel like it shifted.

I don't remember it doing that at all, I'm out in Germany right now so I'm not able to test it right away. But a few years back I had the tranny rebuilt and I remember now that they had a issue with that and supposedly fixed it. But they can't even get a damn trans pan to stop leaking so that shows u what I am dealing with there. Ha. So bad torque converter your thinking?
Thanks for helping by the way.

Not thinking torque converter, thinking the torque converter clutch circuit. But I'm no pro, I would just verify its working right.

OT... Noticed you're at Rammy... How long ya been there?? I hope you are living off base and taking FULL advantage of living on the economy and within the culture that zee Germans have to offer.... I sooo miss it there!!!
