Cause life goes on and change is a good thing.
When I restored it, I was into the "stock/original" frame of mind.
That being the focus of the build at the time, that's how it was restored.
All original sheet metal, no repro junk, no short cuts anywhere on the truck.
So now it's in the "been there-done that" category and I want to move on.
I have another 1st gen in the wings waiting to be built.
This one will be more of a resto-mod.
Modern seats, fuel injection, over-drive tranny etc, etc.
Don't be fooled by my simple explanation...it was one tough decision to make.
