Wanted 71 Blazer 205 Case Mount

Looking for the stock brackets for a 205 transfer case that fit a 71 Blazer on the passenger side. Thanks, Joe
Are you keeping the truck stock and driving it on road only?
If you plan on driving it off road on rough terrain that bracket could cause damage to your tcase adapter.
I have one that needs a little welding, has a crack.
I could sell it cheap or fix it and sell it for going rate

Truck has a 2" lift planning on doing some off road use. Is there an after market bracket that would be better. I have the DIY4X motor mount and stock transmission crossmember.

The problem is it holds that side very well and then you twist it up off road and the engine and transmission twist and the adapter breaks or the transmission tail breaks.
Run it as is you are better.

But if you still want it I will sell it to you.

I do have the long rod for a 208 case that bolts to the back of the motor that I could modify. That way everything is more or less one unit.

That's better if you can do that.
Do you have auto or manual?
Manual I wouldn't bother.
I drove a manual with the 205 for years bashing on it and nothing happened.
With the auto I broke the tail off the transmission but that was with the brackets.
I fixed it and took the brackets off and no problem after.

I'm using a TH350. It has a TCI pan and a torque converter cover from a 700R4 to help strengthen the case. Also using the braces that go from the motor mounts the torque converter cover. Looks like
the long brace will work fine with some modification. Thanks for your information.

Is the 350 case a K-case?

While you're planning to use the TC cover it does brace the whole setup with the added bolts and strut rods to the motor mounts I'd be more concerned about the 350 case not being a K-case since the mounting flanges are thin where the TC cover fastens to. A true K-case has thicker flanges giving more strength to prevent from cracks, etc. Otherwise if you already have a K-case then disregard my comments. Just something to think about. The 350 did come out with the cover and strut rods so they're not just limited to 700R4's.

A K-case will have flanges thick enough that they're threaded for the 6 bolts. No nuts required on the topside.

It's definitely not a K Case. I was not aware there was one until I read your post and goggled it. I ran this transmission in my 83 GMC LWB for several years after the 700r4 died. I never had any issues,
the only difference is it had a 208 case. I'm betting the K Cases are hard to find. Thanks for info!
