just saw a decent blazer at the local pick 'n pull and figured it might have some parts someone could use.

was going to attach pics, but that seems to be broken atm.

windshield frame looks good, although the middle mounting nuts have been ripped out. :dunno:

top is in great shape and back gate has all the hardware on it.

grill is crap. most of the body is crap-ish.

no tach, but otherwise the console is decent.

column shift auto. I think it has a caddy motor in it?!? :dunno: distributor is in the front.

double wall.

as I was leaving a guy was taking a good hard look at it though.

Not that I will be able to take advantage of any of it, but wanted to say thanks for posting it Ash. Nice find.

When I get a lil further into working on mine, Some of those parts might come in handy.

I don't need it, but I'm thinking of going and snagging the windshield frame anyway. they are going to be more and more rare and one of the few parts that there is no aftermarket for, or share in common with the more common trucks. would hate to see it just get crushed.

Dont mean to bring this thread back to life, just thought it was funny since im the one that got the windsheild frame. wish I could of got the whole blazer.

LOL! well, I'm glad it went to someone who will put it to good use. I was going to snag it just to keep it out of the crusher if you hadn't.

Thanks the only thing that sucks about it is someone ripped out the area where it bolts to the top. dont make sense :screwy:

Mine was missing those bolts too so I just cut out a couple squares around those holes and welded some nuts to the new square and welded those back in. Will be a cake walk for you in terms of what you will have accomplished on your jimmy soon enough. Must be a weak point on the frame.

Thanks For The Help With That Wasn't Sure What I Was Going To Do With It

Ash! Whats up man, great find!

Well, I am starting to plan on replacing the lower a-pillar area where the door hinges bolt in to the frame. Mine are rusted out so the doors sag worse than grannys boobs. (not my granny of course ;) )

is that area in good shape on that truck? And if so, would they let you cut them out?

Thanks man,
cam

Look in the beginning of Greg's thread. He replaced a lot of that with some scrap that he had.

old find man. This baby is long gone.

We do see trucks with decent A pillars fairly regularly but to be honest it would take a ton of work to cut it out at a junk yard and its always possible that you'd get a decent way through it and realize it's junk inside. imo your best bet would be to buy new replacement pieces. They aren't too expensive.
