I have a '71 Blazer that I've been working on. I got a roll bar off ebay from a '69 Blazer and it seems to sit forward when putting it on. If I turn it around the bars that extend to the fenderwells don't meet the main rollbar right. Any help?

Are these supposedly "factory" rollbars, or are these some sort of aftermarket ones, like Smittybilt?

When you get to 15 posts, show us a few photos....I'm sure that would help clarify things for us.

I know that there wasn't an RPO for a factory front rollbar for 1973, and that there was one for 1974 and 1975. (It might have been a late 1974 option, but my '74 had one, fwiw.)

I don't see any reference to one nor any pix in the brochures for the first-gens, but there are a coupla pix in the 1975 brochure:

Odd that it was standard for the hardtop and optional on the soft, seems like it would make more sense the other way 'round :dunno:

Anyway, point being that I don't think there was a factory rollbar for 69-72, unless someone has an RPO sheet or other documentation to show otherwise. (I'm sure there were aftermarket ones installed by dealers, but that's different.)

Just so you know, Beebout, for-sale stuff is limited to the Classified forums here. :shame:

Thanks for the info. I will modify the one I have to make it sit right in the truck, I just didn't want to bend and possibly re-weld before asking.
