I just bought a 1971 K5 Blazer and I want a highway gear. I want better mileage and less interior noise. I am going to be using this rig for camping and kayaking, not offroading. I was told the most common swap for this was to go with a 700R4? Does anyone have info on this? I am told I will need to relocate the crossmember? Anyone know if I can buy an aftermarket crossmember for this swap? What other issues may be involved. I am not really worried about doing it on-the-cheap, I am more worried about getting it right. Thanks!
