71 cab on a 80 frame

It can be done. Gotta do a fair bit of work getting the old 71 mounts positioned correctly on the 80 frame though.
Might be easier to just swap the 80 front diff to the 71's frame?

I just did it. 70 cab on a 79 blazer frame. 
Not all that hard. Took the mounts off of both frames. used the 70 mounts on the 79 frame. I had to redrill the rear mount hole in the cab, about an 1 out more since the frame is wider.

Is the '80 frame a pickup? That could make it more difficult. These frames ramp up toward the back of the cab... the rear cab mounts are flush with the top of the frame, and a good 3-4" higher than the front ones.
(I'm sizing up a '66 cab to go on a '83 frame so I've done the measuring
)
