71 K5 A-Pillar & Windshield Header Rust Question

Should I pull the trigger and go ahead and purchase new A-Pillars or do you guys think they can be saved and just replace the windshield header? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am betting that it would be a decent amount of work to save the pillars, and that it would be faster to buy new. You would be able to replace the whole piece, or cut it in order to replace just the section that needs it.

I don't have first hand experience on one of those, however.
