72\' blazer lift

I have a 72' blazer. It's stock with 31's I want to put 35's on it what lift and size rims should I put on it. Also what kind of little things might i run into installing it my self. What other helpful hints might I do to make it work better.

Re: 72\' blazer lift

I run a 6" front and a 8" rear lift on my 72 and it will clear 35's perfect and the biggest problem that i had was the 28 year old rusty bolts for the leaf springs i had to use an air hammer to get them out and then replace those bolts but other than that it wasn't too bad.

I'm going to go to 36' soon on my 71 and 6" all around should be plenty, did you remove leaves on your 8" or what smp???

Theres No Replacement for Cubic Inches!

Re: 72\' blazer lift

six inches is fine for 35 or even 36 inch tires. You'll want to get some longer brake line, and possibly lower the transfer case. I used to have a six inch on mine with the hard brake lines bent to lower them(previous owner did that), but no other mods were done. I didn't have any problems other than a little vibration at freeway speeds.

Re: 72\' blazer lift

I went with the 8" in the rear to compensate(sp?) for the sag in the rear it sits about an inch high but you can't really tell you can see some pics on my web page.

I am starting a early blazer pics page so e-mail me some photos and i will put them up on my site and some stats
