72 Blazer Rocker

I am replacing the rockers on a 72 Blazer. The rockers had already been replaced. I have put new bed sides on. My question is, did the blazer rocker have a body gap at the back end of the rocker. I know the pick-up is smooth and alot of people make the blazer smooth. How was it orginally? Thanks
