it wasn't paint.. well, at least the 77 and 87 I have wheren't.. it's gelcoat..

can anyone help me out on this. was gonna rino line it white.

Like Ryoken said, they didn't use paint so there no way to match the paint. It's just white gelcoat so pick any pure white that looks close and it'll be fine. Or mix some thinned gelcoat in a hvlp gun and spray really fast. :)

the prob with gel is it oxidizes easily... if someone wanted to overcoat the textured factory one with a similar gelcoat, you'd have to use wax in the gel to have it turn out shiney...

anyway, I digress, as Brian just mentioned, pick a similar off-white in paint and go for it.. if you want to maintain the factory texture, just sand it with a course scuffpad and wash it thoroughly with warm soapy water.

if your gonna do a bedliner, i'd suggest sanding it smooth with some 180 to 220, and allow the bedliner to create the texture..

I would bedliner it if it were me, looks good and no more scratches :waytogo:
Just be sure to put uv protection on it afterwards. :woot:
