'72 K5 - AJ's Gray Matter Build

Build-related injuries also require pics in your thread..... It's kind of a rule. :deal:

How do you cut your leg that badly on a doorsill? Are they made out of rusty, old soup can lids? :haha:

-G

I was squatting on edge of the passenger door sill putting in the bolts for the driver's seat. Boot slipped and my shin hit the edge of the door sill with all my weight behind it...where it's just basically skin and bone. The door sill isn't made of old soup cans, but it opened up the shin like it was a cheap beer can. Mopped up the blood, finished putting in the driver seat, put in the pass seat, cleaned up my tools, went home to get a better look at it, decided it needed stitches.

As requested with a half dollar for reference:

Stitches smitches, just a wrag and a roll of electrical tape is all that needed.:D:thumb:

That's a good one, ouch.

Good to see you back around and back at it. I hope life is done throwing you curve balls for a little while.

Nice to see you're still around Chad. For the record, I wrapped a clean shop rag around it while I was still working so it wouldn't drip blood everywhere. :D

Ouch! I busted my shin open a few years back and thought I would be manly about it. Should of had it sewn up. it became infected about 2 months later and spent 3 day in the hospital. So sometimes the manly thing can backfire on you. Take care of that wound.

The K5 is looking sweet.:thumb:

Finally managed to coordinate time with a friend who has tow rig and trailer. Got the truck home tonight.
