HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! :haha:

Oh man, that was a good one!

For a street queen you can probably get away with 8" of lift and 38s...

The front "fang" area will still be an issue when turning hard and may need trimming (most front fenders have already had these trimmed and removed)...so if you are trying to be a 100% "no trimming" purist and want to even keep these, you may even need MORE lift.

Here's how I'd do it:

6" spring lift
Add the 38's...
Drive and assess how badly it's rubbing with street driving.
Add body lift (1" or 2") as desired
Fine tuning with zero-rates if you still need a tad more clearance
(Don't do final painting until you figure all this out.)

If you are running 1-ton axles, the front will sit higher than it will with a D44 axle...in the rear, you can run a shackleflip with a longer shackle to level-out the rear.

The 8" springs are another way to go....they will be stiff, so you will have less concern about rubbing the fenders but the truck will also ride like crap...

:usaflag:

I have 6 inch lift springs with extended shackles in front, plus a little from the angle shims, 3 inch lift springs, 4 inch shackle flip, raised spring perches, and super shackles in rear for a total of about 10 inch lift in rear. With my cage, bumpers, and tire carrier it sits pretty much level. I have 37 x 12.50 x 17 BFG Krawlers. I took about 3 inches off the fenders, removed the front tang on the fronts, and tapered in other areas.

The pics show when the jimmy was on 31's with the 37's beside so add 3 inches of lift from the tire, raise the truck 6 inches and you end up with about 3 inches of clearance around the tire, less if you turn, and definately less at the front tang if it is not trimmed. I agree you might be ok with 8 inch and 38's if you drive it easily on the street but with a little stuff or droop and aturn of the tire you will get some contact between the tire and the tang.

I agree on the no trim 6 inch lift with 38's :haha: Anyway here are a few pics.

I had my entire interior sprayed with speed liner and some of the outside and love it for the wash out capability, it also quieted some noise and squeaks. I also did the inner fenders.

The cage well mine is a little overdone for a street cruiser but there are tons of pics on here of it. Look at my gallery and if you want more pics let me know. Also a search of cages on here and you will hit the motherload.
