I've been hunting for awhile for door/windshield frame parts to make my 77K5 full topless with no luck.

Is there 73-75 owner willing to measure from the outside bend line back to the factory flat so I can modify my frame to somewhat look like the pre-76 models? The inside would also be nice if possible.

I thought at one time there was a write-up on this modification here but I can't seem to locate it so measurements or a link would help immensely.

Thanks, Jeff

There actually is one for sale here on CK5 have been seing it for a week or so.

I have a '73 Blazer in pristine shape. From reading your post I'm not able to picture what measurement you need but am willing to get it for you if I can.

Try this

I tried to show the demension I'm looking for, tape helps the red marker show up. Doted line reresents where on a 73-75 top the roof ends. The other end is the bend just above the windshield.

I can get that for you. My fiberglass top is on right now but will be coming back off this weekend. Is this time-sensitive? If it is I know some guys on here that can get that measurement to you quicker...

I'll post up once I can get it.

I am in no hurry, I've been working on this version of my Blazer for like 2 years..

Any help is much appreciated!

And I have to say your ride is beautiful.

Jeff

Sounds good. Thanks! Nice to see a fellow Ohioan on here too. There are a few of us.

Would you believe I found that Blazer in Middletown, OH? :D

Middletown, like 15 min. from my house!

Funny thing is when K5 conversations come up on other boards there's inevitably a picture of your Blazer somewhere in the thread.

I might even be able to deliver it to Ohio for cheap.
I do CA - NY a couple of times a month and I could bring those with me for a few bucks for my hassle.
I can meet at any exit off I80 which mightnot be too close for you but could save you $$ if you decide to buy it.

My Blazer top is off now Jeff, I can get that measurement for you when I get home from work.
When I get home from work tonight I mean (Thursday). :D It totally slipped my mind last night.

Here's what I got. I measured 2 1/8". Let me know if that's what you're looking for.

I would have gotten this for you Jeff, but I am still thoroughly confused as to what I am looking at.... is this the measurement from the top of the windshield moulding to the top of the windshield frame???

Oh, and Jeff, got any more parts you need to get rid of? ;)

Ahh, I see.

Let me know if that works for you Jeff.. I can get measurements too if you'd like... or you can come down and see for yourself.

Thanks guys for the help, that's the info I needed!

Bizee, the last time I talked to you I think you where on Dana60 hunt, correct?
