Do the 73-75 K5s have any issues with leaking or wind noise with the full Fiberglass tops? How do the half tops do?

I have driven a soft top jeep for 2 years now and I really don't want to deal with leaks and wind noise anymore.

Thanks Guys
Jerry

My family has owned a 73 since new off the lot. As long as the seals are in good shape no real leaking problems. The top is a double layer design so wind noise is at a minimum. the half tops will always seal up easier as there are far fewer seals to deal with but you loose the full convertible option.

Cheers,

Rufus

I have owned soft top jeeps for years and now own a 75 Jimmy. There is a world of difference. The seals on my Jimmy are 35 years old and not the best but its still 10 time quieter and drier than a soft top jeep.

Come on, comparing a soft top heep to a hard top K5 is like comparing dirt clods to diamonds. It just ain't right. :D :haha:

With the top on my 73 with new seals had more wind noise than my BILs 77, I never had a problem with leaking and i drove it through some downpours and all winter long for a several years.

You can't even compare it to a soft top jeep

No problems with my top when it on. But then again between tire noise and exhaust I don't here wind noise.
