73-75 rocksliders>?

So ive been looking around trying to find some ideas for sliders for my 73. Plenty for 76+ but not gonna work for me!

So how do you get by the giant plate attached under the cab right in the way of the framerails? It doesnt seem strong enough to run a plate and then go under it up to the rockers. My rockers are not rusted out so im not gonna hack em off and weld sliders in place.

Anyone built rockers around that plate? did you cut it out and do something different?

Hrmm that might work. Trying to picture what my rocker panel looks like but i cant figure out what i would weld it to if i didnt cut the rockers out. Thats why i liked the idea of the 76+ ones that went to the framerail and didnt interfere with the body.

Maybe i just need to sack up and cut my rockers off. I dont have rust on the bottoms, but i do on the top were the door pinch seam is.

thats what I did on my 73 just cut the rockers out and welded in 3x3 square tube

I did the same on my '73. But it was very rusted.

yah mine weren't exactly in great shape either Lol

would have been alot easier if they were, you can't really weld to rust, trust me I have tried
