73-80 K5 Front Clip Swap On 81-86 K5

Mine is an 82 K5 if that makes a difference.

As I understand it, all that is required to put the 73-79 round headlight front clip on a 82 like mine is:

1. Entire Front Clip, consisting of inner & outer fenders, radiator core support, hood, grill, headlights.
2. Windshield wiper arms.

Am I missing something?

Is it a bolt on swap or?

Does anybody have some pictures or links to some that depict how the older fender lines match up with the lines on the newer doors?

Any tip's, tricks or gotchas on the swap?

You'll need a cowl screen. You can make yours work but will have to mod it a little

When i put a 78 clip on my 85 tub no cutting just removed the cowl
To get the old style wipers to work i had to re drill the drivers side mounting hole pattern
Works fine
