I have have a brake indicator light on the spedo it doesn't light up. is this for the e bake or something else? thanks

Both e-brake and to indicate loss of pressure to the front or rear of the brake system. But should of course light up when the e-brake is applied. There is a switch on the pedal, worth looking at it.

I think it's a single wire going to a small switch that has an exposed copper contact on it. Held in with a single screw, back tucked up near the firewall on the e-brake mechanism.

You sure they had that on the early squares? My 75 doesn't have any kind of switch or wiring on the parking brake. I think the light only comes on when the proportioning valve senses an imbalanced pressure in the brake system. I'm no expert, but I'm fairly certain the 73's brake warning light was only for the purpose of indicating brake failure.

My 75 is the same as yours. No switch no wire. Light just comes on when brakes are outta whack.

Hmm, haven't had one that old, just assumed all were like that! But not surprising I suppose that it wasnt on the earlier rigs.
