I know this a reach but looking for a clean tailgate in Colorado. I have one now that has some good dents on it that will need to be repaired before painting. Trying to avoid body work.

I have two over here on the Western slope, however I need to find some time to get a better idea as well as pictures of the condition of them.
I will try to remember.

I just drove through Palisade. My mom lives in Montrose and went there for Thanksgiving. If you can get some pictures that would be great. The "good" one I got now has damage along the bottom. I hope its repairable for my body shop.

I have one that is a little better than what you have, but I have this one that is pretty good from what I see. But it has been repainted, and I see signs of possible repairs. I also want to keep the manual window regulator out of it.
I don't want to price it as I would want to find out more of what's under the cracked paint in a couple of spots.

@6872xtc That looks way better of ta tailgate. Its going in for paint Tuesday. Let me see what they say on repair the current one. If I need to I can drive up to you and grab it. I wish you were closer then I could grab it today and install it. How much are you wanting?

I will try to check out the cracked paint on it today. I need to find out if there is filler. The wife wants to go cut a Xmas tree on the Mesa today, so that is first.

Well I apologize. I probably got your hopes up for no reason. I completely forgot about the top of the gate having the typical cracks, and the cracked paint by the handle was slight damage. It also has a trim hole or two that got filler over them. I would bet that it will be faster to get your tailgate fixed than this one. I mainly got it for a spare, and to have the manual regulator, so the little damage didn't worry me. Slipped my mind.

Let me see what the body shop says on this one and if its repairable. It really sucks since the guy in Craig salvage yard said it was really clean. My friend brought it down for me and I was surprised to see the damage. I got another one but its cracked on the top but is repairable with a welder. I might see if that one is any better. So I basically have 3 bad tailgates. The original one I'm replacing smashed on the top and has tons of bondo in it. Motor city K5 use to carry the outer shell but now says not available. Thanks for taking the time to get some pictures!
