Anyway now it sits in my driveway and its getting a full make over. fenders, rad support, and inner fenders are getting replaced, cab is being fixed, there was new floors put in over the old rusty floors which were not cut out and its sitting right on the frame (mounts are pretty much totally gone.) all the rust will be removed and the whole thing will get all the paint and most body work striped and redone. interior floors will lose the carpet and i plan to use a spray in chip guard/bedliner called raptor and color match it to the seats . once the bodys done ill eventually get to everything else that hasnt been replaced. motor needs some lovin. id like to eventually rebuild it. over all i just want to keep this mostly stock with some minor upgrades.

i hope everyone enjoys watching this build. i will post many pictures and try to cover everything i do. feel free to ask anything about it id love to help!

Progress is slow but i pulled the interior out and top off. radiator support is out. the whole bottom was rusted off. i found a edelbrock performer intake, holly carb and hei distributor from the junk yard. iv got a good support and rust free fenders and new inners that are going on soon. need to find some headers for it. my next step is cutting out the floors and fixing all the other body work. theres no cab supports on it so the body is saging over the frame. trying to find money to buy parts right now while still being able to put gas in the car.

yeah i think im gonna go with the original orange. it wont be as bright. we use RM d-basf base/clear paint where i work so ill be able to look it up in the system and mix up a gallon or so when i paint it

well it was 70 degrees one day and snowing the next here in NY so i was stuck inside for a little so i cleaned my new intake and sprayed it silver. it warmed up a little today so i got the grinder out and stared grinding all the body filler off where the front patches were put in and in the jams where the bed was welded on.

I noticed from the pics that the top sets back a little from where it should be on the windshield frame. Keep that in mind when you replace the cab supports. Assuming your going to use the hardtop.

I painted the front of the frame and bumper brackets with chassis saver and then put my new radiator support in and hung the fenders. picked up a nice set of 30 inch bf goodrich a/ts for $100 today. they should work for a while till i can get something better. still grinding all the body work off. need to get some duraglass so i can start refilling the welds. also found some spots that had been filled that need to be patched
