Friend! So following up on our previous thread, I successfully swapped out the brake lines AND got a brand new set of 36" wheels and Toyo M/T tires on it - looks amazing!! See pics

Had a couple follow up questions after yesterday's most recent test drive:

1. Can you recommend a disc brake conversion kit mfg for the rear wheels? Drums are janky af... I figure better to swap out.

2. So now that I have 36" wheels and tires on it, don't I need to get the differentials (both front and rear) reconfigured? Do I need different/new ones or can I have the ones that are currently on there serviced to accommodate the new wheels and tires?

3. Can you recommend a good vendor to replace the gauges in the dash? The only ones that work are the speedometer and gas gauge. Will troubleshoot wiring but in case they're kaput, I'd like to replace.

4. Windows in both doors - mechanisms to roll up/down windows are kaput. Need to replace. Is it possible to buy new guts for both doors so windows will function properly?

THANK YOU!!!

Still figuring out the site :)

Looks like you’re rockin the d44/12b combo

I’ll answer #2 to answer #1
What a lot of us have done, is spend money on one thing (brakes for example) only to replace the axle and have to invest money on the new axle as well
Do you need bigger, better, or badder axles? Is the truck going to be mostly Offroad use, or in town driving?
Answer that before you invest money for brakes on the 12b, and then want to upgrade the rear axle (if you need)

The next two possible axle upgrades:
14 bolt semi float. This is a light 3/4 tone axle, with 6 lugs. There are newer versions that have disc brakes, but may need some configuration required to do the emergency brake

14 full float. Heavy as heck, hard to break, and parts are plenty. You will have to change to 8 lug wheels. Newer versions have disc from the factory. These also have large aftermarket support for conversion to disc brake
