'73 Nova SS 4x4

i've seen that one online, before. it gives me the urge to punch the guy. wheeling is great, and he may be a good fabricator/mechanic/etc. but do not screw around with a classic muscle car. dang, man, is nothing sacred?:angry1:

Not my thing, but thats probably the only trar that I have seen that I would drive. If it was GIVEN to me.

I must just be redneck, but I think that tar is pretty bitchin, looks damn good, he def did a good job on it. wonder how much hes looking to get, i'd sport it. hah

I've seen it posted on Craiglist twice in the last couple of weeks.

And yes, that's about as redneck as ya can get! ;)

Words cant describe how awesome that is.. Id trade my jimmy for it thats for damn sure! Uncles got a built 72(350/350/10b) nova running 10s in the 1/4, but i would sure as hell take this one over his.

i think he did a good job on it. Not just some hack job........

you guys are looking at this all wrong. you have a great truck chassis and a good car body seperate and go. you have good starters for two different things.

But that kind of stuff isn't rare down here. With no road salt to disolve all metal parts into oblivion, stuff lasts a VERY long time. :cool1:

He may OR may not have a 12 bolt front...........but there is a vehicle crusing around Calgary with a 14bolt front & rear. I've seen it with my own eyes.......obviously custom built........... but it exists.

That reminds me of the 68 Camaro I saw a long time ago. It was built pretty much the same way except for the 454. It had a 350. I asked the guy why he would do this to such a cool muscle car and he said "All I had was the rusted out body and old 4x4 truck and a bunch of parts so I just put 'em all together".

I have accually seen some wierd axles that DON'T exhist in real life, but I have seen them... there is a 4x4 shop in denver, off highway 225 on Colfax by the RTD garage, that builds FRONT ford 9" axles... they put Dana 60 outter ends/steering on a ford 9" axle , and from what I hear they are really tuff axles....

Custom built 14bolts and Ford 9" front diffs are one thing.

I'd be extremely surprised if anyone knowledgeable enough to accomplish such a task would go through the trouble of custom building a front 12 bolt that is marginally (if any) stronger than cheap readily available 10 bolts and D44s.
