74 3/4 suburban gearing?

Sadly, all we know for sure is that they were round. :haha: Likely to be 4.10:1 (if 4WD) but not guaranteed.

If they are unmolested, and if it's still present, the RPO sheet in the glovebox would likely list them.

Otherwise, you gotta pull the cover and count teeth, or spin a wheel and count revolutions.

I would guess 3.73 if a burb...just my .02

Dam, now why would a 3/4t p/u 4wd only have 3.73's?

I read one time, that all 1973 K20 Suburbans came with 4:10's only. It was in an old 4x4 mag doing testing of the new models, so I don't know if it was true or not. That being said, I believe the only three options for K20's, whether they were a pickup or a Suburban, were 3.73:1, 4.10:1, or 4.56:1.

I pulled at 14FF and a Dana 44 out of a 74' 3/4 ton burb at the pick n' pull and it had 4.10's in it.
