Some of the stuff I'm wanting to tackle. I'll add as I think of stuff. I'm still figuring out what's all needing attention, so this is still very incomplete

Body Work
  • Rust repair
  • Fill/repair holes
  • Fill/repair dents
  • New rear bumper
  • Make sure all the lines are aligned
  • Get everything closing/rolling smoothly
  • Paint
Interior
  • Console upgrade w/ tach
  • Sound deadening
  • Carpets
  • New seats (front and rear)
  • Audio
  • Misc fixes
Mechanical
  • Suspension. All of it.
  • Leaky fuel filler hose replacement
Misc
  • Windshield replacement
  • All new weather stripping
  • Vintage air AC system
  • POR-15 all the things
 
First thing I want to tackle is suspension.

I'm pretty certain leaf springs need replaced.
I'm thinking of doing Bilstein 5600 for shocks.

I'm not planning on lifting. I don't really off-road, and when I do, it's like. Slightly less developed road at best. I like the look of the stock height

while leaf springs can sag over time maybe you should replace the bushings in the springs and hangers and see if that works. Bilstein is a good choice for shocks.

Thanks! I was actually wondering this point earlier and forgot to ask about it.

I'll start with bushings
 
1st make it safe
2nd make it reliable
3rd make usable as much as possible. A one trick pony sits in the barn alot!
