1/2 ton status
does anyone know what kinda of axles a 74 c10 has? i saw one in the paper for $250, and says it needs body and engine work, but if it has 3/4 or 1 ton axles, the $250 would be well worth it. thanks in advance.

1/2 ton is 12 bolt
3/4 or 1 ton is 14 bolt FF, but if is C10 then is 1/2 ton which is 12 bolt 8.75" gear

It's a 2 wheel drive. Which means it as a 5 lug rear axel wont work on a 4WD. C=2 wheel dive, 10= 1/2 ton. If your looking for a set of axels off the same truck look for.
3/4 ton is K20 (Chevy) and K25 (GMC)
1 ton is K30 (Chevy) and K35 (GMC)
Just remember C=2WD and K=4WD
