74 Full Convertible Tailgate

Does anyone know if a 82 electric window tailgate will interchange with a 74? Do I just need to do some wiring or are there other differences? Thx.

Should just be some wiring. The shell is the same

The tailgates are different. The shell is the same, but the locking mechanisms changed over the years.

Thanks @77snowwheeler My tailgate has the rust typical at the bottom and if it is a good shell it's worth it for $400. If I can have an electric window too it would be cool. Are the power windows in these reliable?

I would think if you could get to work successfully, it would be fine. Not sure about Chinese crap these days would be my only concern.
