Hey guys, just joined and looking forward to everyone's input!

I just bought a '74 K5 1/2 ton project. By project I mean if I didn't have a family friend with 40 years of body work experience I would have ran away kind of project. So far LMCTruck is going to make killing over the next few days as I order parts. Here's where I am having some trouble:
1: I ordered the new dash pad and everything I need, however, I want a brand spanking new bezel and gauges. I can ind pictures of one with no cut out for the stereo and I would prefer that since the stereo is going to to aftermarket center console. I can only find them for '76 and older. Can I use a '76? Every cut-out APPEARS to be correct? If not, where can I find a set of gauges, bezel, and all the stuff I need?
2: I have just about every seal and piece of weatherstripping in my cart except the back windows. On LMC they start off in '76. Where can i find '74 back side window seals?
3: I really like the sliding windows, are they roughly the same size, could I convert over easily or would it require some serious shell modifications?
4: I am searching all over for a bracket for the shell to bolt in to the window frame, I have two out of the three brackets, it will drive me crazy and really want the third. Any ideas where to find one, anyone have one to sell?
I think that is it for now, I will be posting pictures as I go! Any advice or comment are greatly appreciated!!!

I'm glad to hear about your dash. I've begun collecting interior parts, the dash was a major concern. You hear so many bad things, I was nervous. ClassicIndustries.com was a life saver. I got the seals I needed, plus a few other odds and ends! As much as I think the sliders are more functional, I'll stick with the solid windows for now! You have any issues with the dash pad?

Nothing major on the dash pad. I trimmed a tad where the dash bezel inserts. I'm going to use some SEM Color Coat for the plastic trim next.

My bezel looks like someone played Frisbee with it. I just ordered every replaceable part I could find. New door parts, tailgate parts, everything in between. Just going to remove old pad and bezel , toss all the gauges except speedometer and buy a cheap working temp gauge. Then when everything is done hopefully I'll saved up enough for dash pad and gauges with bezel.

I did Dakota digital gauges. They're pretty sweet. They have a nice set for our trucks. I went with analog style. They look somewhat oem

How long have you been using them. I heard they were not the best quality but they look great. Problem is, the person I heard this from doesn't think anything is good quality.....

No there was a local dealer. I got cruise control with it which is nice. I think that was worth it. Just need to finish my interior and this truck can be done for a while. I'm thinkin about doin that lizard skin heat/sound insulation.

Nobody sells a true 1973-74 dash bezel yet that I am aware of. Some of those LMC or Classic bezels will fit but but the things to look out for is with AC or no AC...and the lightswitch plunger is longer on a 73-74
