74 windsheild wipers

start testing see if u have power and ground at the wiper motor, if so its a bad motor, if not ur gonna have to go further down the line, switch, wiring, my bet is the motor, or ur wiper transmission could be rusted tight as well.
My bother once had a problem with his wipers on his 77. He had a good fuse but the fuse wasn't making good contact in the fuse block. That is another thing to check.
The 74 wipers have one power lead and two ground leads. The ground leads goes to the switch and the switch completes the ground so make sure the switch is properly grounded.

all the wires that go into the motor (windshield wipers) are hot only one i had to reverse my test light and it lit up so it is a ground (light blue with a dark blue stripe) so now you think i should see if the switch is grounded good? how would i go abot doing that take the switch out clean it up and put it back in?
In a GM wiper system the importance of a well grounded switch can not be stressed enough.
