\'74 with a noisy speedo cable

I have a 74 Jimmy that I just purchased. It has a noisy speedometer cable. Does anyone know any fixes for the problem?

If it's actually the speedo cable itself, there is a product called cable-eez(SP?) that apparently works well.

If it's the speedometer itself, repair or replace.
