heard a story about a "rare optioned blazer" for sale with "factory" side pipes" and a 400, didnt think it was true
It's not.

Could have been installed at the dealer, so someone might have bought it new with them. Doubt that even in '75, GM would be allowed to put side pipes more than a few inches off the ground.
