Hi, I am the owner of a 1975 K5 Blazer with a full removable top. I obtained it from a family member who used to have it in colorado as a hunting truck ( truck now located in eastern PA ). originally i wanted the truck to take me up to the mountains to go skiing, but due to having to travel a lot for work, i have be unable to do anything at all. NOW TO MY PROBLEM. i came back from a longer trip and noticed that the right exhaust pipe was hanging. after i had it looked at i found that it had rusted through behind the tail pipe. i had this fixed with a new pipe only to get home and have the reverse gear go. now i am not a mechanic so i do not know much about this stuff. but i talked to someone who works on only old chevy trucks and he told me that the transmission could have gone or the reverse linkage could have came off. the truck never had any problems with slipping gears or anything. it was just out of the blue that this happened. now i am thinking that i would like to sell the truck, because i do not have the time to fix the problems or restore the truck due to work. i put a add in the local papers and had no responses. so my question to all of you is where is a good place to list it for sale and how much should i look at getting for it. the engine runs great and the body and interior are in very good condition. i do not have the 500.00 to 1000.00 to fix the problem with the reverse gear so i would be willing to work with anyone who is interested in purchasing the vehicle. any help would be greatly appreciated.
