Yeah that’s what I hear, I’m a little concerned with how water tight it’ll be.. Living in the PNW where we get lots of rain, my K5 is parked in the garage during summer, but outside in the winter, however I keep a waterproof cover on it while it’s parked outside..
Mine is kept outside year round under a cover. We just had 10” of snow, no issues. It rains alot here as well, no issues, and i leave my sides rolled up all spring/summer under the cover. I wouldnt be worried about water tight as long as you make sure to install the weather stripping correctly
