76 Jimmy- Jimbo Build Thread.

Dump some ATF in the transmission and see if it moves then. If it moves it will add enough to the price to give it a go.

Actually thats what I thought too. Just gotta find the time to play with it in daylight. I mean the tranny drove fine before I pulled the old engine so it should still work.

And pics have to wait til tomoro. It was too dark by the time I mobbed it back home.

Yeah I asked him that too when I got it. What would be the best solution? Just hve these wheels re centered?

Cheap 16.5 x 9.75 steel wagon wheels is what I used for my 37's. Recenter them if you want to keep the beadlocks. Or just keep the spacers, probably will just mean you wear your ball joints and tre's faster.

Sweet! Are you going to start another build thread? What are you going to do with the other rig?

Probably gonna sell the 76. I need it outta the driveway. I will eventually do a new thread. But there isn't really much I need to do to this one right off the bat which is a nice change of pace.
I will probably just rock the spacers for the time being til I figure out if I'm gonna d60 the front.

You did bolt the torque conveter up right.

yup. but, just to make sure i'll check it again cuz you never can be too sure after you pull an engine for the 3rd time.

I want the headlights fromthe left one. But oh well.

Tried adding fluid to the tranny to see if that would bring it back to life. Fluid goes down the fill tube and straight to the groud. I guess it's rusted/torn down by the tranny so it just pissed straight to the ground

So the jimbo saga comes to an end. Today my buddy bought it off me. Hopefully he can finish it up and give it the life that I never did. Plus when he does we can go wheeling.

So now I can focus on the still as of yet not named brown blazer. If the rain holds I'll be doing that this weekend.

Honestly. i'm not really sure. i havent taken the wheels off yet, so i'm not really sure. i'm hoping to go thru it and get some stuff tuned up this weekend depending on how the rain holds

so would it make more sense to change this thread into my new truck, or just let it die and make a new build thread for the 81?
