Just picked this up last weekend. Not sure if I want to restore or use for woods. 76 k5 39k original miles. 355 425 up with 1400 miles on it. Cam holley double pumper 650 carb. Eldebrock valve covers. Long tube headers. Built 400 turbo tranny with shift kit. Built 205 transfer. Detroit lockers in rear and air lockers in front. Front and rear Dana 44s. 3 in lift Sittin on 35s mickeys.

See that what I thought the 8 1/2 in and he kept saying Dana 44

Trust about zero of what the previous owner told you, if he said it had a rear Dana 44.

I would pull the diff covers and see what gears you have, and if it actually has lockers. You say there is an air locker in the front axle?

Martin

I already pulled them and looked. I think it 3 73 gears but can't tell. And yes for sure has Detroit lockers in rear. And front air lockers. Can't remember the name. Its 3 letters. But has compresser under the hood with air line to the pumpkin. And switches to turn compresser on and switch to lock them in. Already tried them and then work amazing

The ring gears has number stamped on it. You didn't by chance take pictures did you?

The front is probably an ARB.

Martin

Yeah that's what the front is. And no I didn't. I will get pictures this weekend when I get back home from work and post them up here

I would also highly doubt the 39,xxx original miles. Probably rolled over once. More likely 139,xxx miles. If not more.

As for the engine, post some pics of that. 425 horse power from a 355 would need some decent parts.

Martin

It's got a lot done to it. I will for sure. And I got the title for it. That's what the title says
