77 c10 question?!?!?

k i know its not a blaze but its still a chevy. its a 77 chevy singlecab 2wd auto trans. it needs a new tranny so im thinking about a th400 with a shift kit. what else could i do to this truck to make it more ballzy? i live in CA and have to smog it.

th400 might be to much for your needs.

reason i say this is its bigger than a th350 and has less ratio in the gears and last major is it takes around 20-30 more hp to spin it and thats less to the rear wheels.

i would get a good remaned th350 with a shift improver or shift kit and have fun with it.

and move out of smog check he!!

ok yea i wanna get a th350 with shift kit. with this truck i wanna bag it or lower it, so what is a good way to do this? i dont want it really low just like 6-10 inches of the ground but still level.

i have driven lots of stuff and i prefer drop spindles in the front and also drop hangers or axle flip in the rear. the axle flip will get you around 3.5 drop and still ride good as its stock springs still. might need to cnotch the frame a little.
